Xmap for Joomla

Another plugin we've found very helpful is Xmap which is a Site map generator component for Joomla. Xmap allows you to create both an xml or an html version of your website's map using the structure of your menus.

This extension is very easy to install and use and it's helps with your search engine optimization. You could use the xml prepared by the extension to submit to your google webmaster tools account as an xml file.

JCrawler for site maps

We just installed JCrawler in our site and it turned out great. It is a Joomla Extension that is basically does the same as the Google crawler. But it actually crawls your Joomla site to store all the urls in a XML file without any plugins.

In addition to that after crawling is completed you could ping Google, Ask.com, Yahoo and MSN directly from the control panel.
